National Volunteer Week 2021

17-23 May 2021

A community built and bettered by volunteers

Emerge Australia was created by volunteers 40 years ago. Today, volunteers continue to devote considerable time and energy to help provide the high-quality services and programs we are so proud to offer the ME/CFS community.

This National Volunteer Week we hope you will join us in honouring our volunteers for their dedication to providing hope and help for all Australians living with ME/CFS.

Undeterred by the global pandemic, volunteers donated a massive 1143 hours of work with Emerge Australia in the last financial year. Their contributions included representation on our Board and in the office, with responsibilities including membership and data processing, producing website and journal content, researching and compiling our fortnightly Research Digest, offering InfoLine support, fundraising, and representing the community through the media.

To our volunteers: You have changed lives for the better and we could not do our vital work without you.
