Mark Clisby

Chair

Mark has worked in the Australian Public Service, Universities and NGOs for over 35 years, including as Deputy Director Human Resources at Flinders University, Director Human Resources at the Australian National University, Operations Director at Oxfam Australia and Director Research Services at La Trobe University.

He has undertaken a range of pro-bono roles in NGOs and not-for-profits including jointly initiating the Oxfam Australia – Monash University Partnership and chairing its Governance Committee and membership of the Institute for Human Security and Social Change Advisory Committee at La Trobe University.

Mark is co-founder and CEO of two social enterprises, Research Coaching Australia and the Higher Education and Research Group. Mark is keen to support the ME/CFS community and is committed to ensuring the highest standards of governance and management for Emerge Australia and places a high priority on ensuring that staff and volunteers have a great workplace in which to make their own contributions to our important work.
