📣 Exciting Collaboration Announcement 🌏

Emerge Australia and Bateman Horne Center (BHC) are partnering to strengthen international efforts in patient-centered care for ME/CFS, long COVID, and other energy limiting conditions.

Together, we’re building on Emerge Australia’s exceptional library of self-paced education modules — designed by and for people with ME/CFS — to ensure that patients have tools to better understand their own illness presentation, triggers, and pacing strategies. These modules are crafted with the ME/CFS and long COVID community in mind: accessible, self-directed, and grounded in lived experience.

🎓 What makes this unique?

These co-branded learning modules:

  • Help patients understand their individual experience of post-exertional malaise (PEM) and orthostatic intolerance (OI)
  • Support the development of a patient-centered pacing plan
  • Include symptom-specific content like the Pacing Upright Activity module, which guides patients in adapting upright activity to avoid worsening PEM and orthostatic intolerance.

💡 While these are designed for patients, clinicians may also find them valuable. Providers can refer patients to these modules to enhance shared understanding and inform individual care plans, including documentation for accommodation, disability, or medication management.

Together, we’re aiming to elevate standards of care by equipping patients and providers with tools to help support those living with ME/CFS, long COVID and energy limiting conditions.

Visit our website and stay tuned for more as we prepare to release the first series of co-branded modules.
