By joining and supporting us, you will be helping to advance our cause to improve the lives of everyone with ME/CFS and their families. You'll also benefit by receiving our flagship quarterly journal Emerge delivered straight to your doormat or inbox as soon as it's published, and you'll be the first to know about member-only events and opportunities. Membership costs as little as $5.

Who is membership for?

We encourage anyone living with ME/CFS, their carers, family and friends, and any other supporters to become members. As our membership grows, our voice and ability to speak on your behalf grows louder.

How much does a membership cost?

Emerge Australia has two tiers of membership:

  • $50 (incl GST) annual membership
  • $5 (incl GST) annual membership (financial hardship)

Each tier gives the same benefits. Financial hardship is self-defined and does not require documentation.

What are the benefits of membership?

You will receive:

  • four issues of our quarterly journal, the Emerge magazine
  • a monthly newsletter
  • access to occasional member-only events
  • an invisible disability lanyard

How do I become a member?

You can apply to become a member or renew your membership at any time online. If you would like assistance to complete this process, please contact the InfoLine on 1800 865 321.

Your membership application is subject to the Membership Guidelines of the Association. In the event that your application does not comply with these guidelines, you will be advised accordingly and your membership fee will be refunded in full.
