Community Advisory Panel Pilot Project

The Community Advisory Panel will provide ways for our community to provide input into our advocacy work.

What will Community Advisory Panel (CAP) members do?

Twelve panel members will initially provide input on topics associated with Emerge Australia’s advocacy priorities. We also anticipate there will be ad-hoc opportunities to participate in other advocacy matters as they arise.

Advocacy Priorities

Emerge Australia’s existing advocacy priorities will inform and guide CAP involvement. These priorities are:

  1. ME/CFS research
  2. Clinical education for GPs and health providers
  3. ME/CFS and associated energy limiting diseases healthcare and patient support, including access to telehealth, allied health services and in-home care
  4. Equitable access to, and within, the NDIS and Disability Support Pension.
