Crafty Adventures Blue Tea for ME

May is ME/CFS awareness month, and I, Jo Patton, of Crafty Adventures, would like to bring the Crafty Community together (virtually) to support those living with ME/CFS.

This Friday 30 May at 11am (AEST) I invite you all to pause for morning tea with a crafty project on your laps of course, and please wear blue (pyjamas are fine if that's all you can manage).

If you can donate what you would spend on a cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, and/or a slice of cake then I will match every donation dollar for dollar and send it on to Emerge Australia.

Why ME/CFS?

Many families including mine have family members affected by various health issues and challenges. Several of my family are living with ME/CFS which you may know as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but it is so much more than just being tired...

Many of you know my sister Paula Storm - she is struggling with many new diagnoses, as is one of her daughters, and our big sister Tracey Collins has been unwell with ME/CFS for several years. Tracey rarely leaves her bed let alone her house, but with the little physical and mental energy she has, she is working with Emerge Australia to lobby the government to do more to help people like her living with these invisible illnesses.

I am privileged to be well enough to work with you all in creating Crafty Adventures and living out my travel dreams, but so many living with ME/CFS no only can't live out their dreams, but go missing from their own lives and due to their illness are unable to participate in the community around them.
