Emerge Australia is thrilled to welcome Eliza Charley as our newest Ambassador!

Eliza is not only an accomplished Australian actress, writer, and producer, but she also embodies immense resilience as she lives with ME. With a passion for amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly for women and those battling chronic illnesses, Eliza is a true advocate for change.

Known for her roles in feature films like The Fort (2022) and Time Apart (2020), as well as award-winning shorts such as The Falling (2016) and Sweat (2014), Eliza has made her mark both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, including her work on Neighbours: Road Trip (2016) and Buying Blind (2018).

Having lived with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis since 2009, Eliza has travelled the globe to seek treatment, collaborate with researchers, and champion patient advocacy for ME, POTS, and Long Covid. Born in Melbourne to esteemed scientist parents, Eliza combines her love for science with a commitment to patient justice and improved policymaking.

Now residing in Florence, Italy, Eliza is inspiring change and raising awareness for those living with chronic diseases.
