We want to give a HUGE thank you to Peter and Bronwyn Dunn who have a daughter with ME/CFS and recently organised a Bunnings BBQ to raise funds for Emerge Australia.
'We just wanted to do something for our daughter who was diagnosed about five years ago with sudden onset ME/CFS,' Peter and Bronwyn said. 'We couldn’t sit by and not take action. After considering a few different options for raising money, we thought about a Bunnings BBQ.'

The whole Dunn clan joined forces to help and customers were queuing up at Bunnings Warehouse Castle Hill in NSW for a very busy and profitable fundraising event. A record number of sausage sandwiches were sold (927 to be precise!), on a fun but tiring day. A whopping $2,000 was raised for Emerge Australia.

Bronwyn said, 'Some customers shared stories of their experiences with ME/CFS and many people were keen to learn more about Emerge Australia. We're hoping to run another BBQ very soon and would like to do at least two a year. This would provide a great source of income for Emerge Australia.'

If you are interested in running a Bunnings BBQ to raise money for Emerge Australia, you can contact your local Bunnings Warehouse and please do let us know here at Emerge! Bronwyn and Peter also say that they'd be happy to offer some advice.
Thank you so much Peter, Bronwyn and the whole of the Dunn family.
